Tuesday Vargas talks about her band Top Junk and her other projects
When comedienne Tuesday Vargas entered the local showbiz scene, it seems that lady luck is on her side. In just her first year as a showbiz personality, she was already given a break to do "Habulin Mo Ako", a one-woman comedy act at the Music Museum. Before that, she appeared as a comic/sidekick in a Sharon Cuneta TV show. She also dabbled in drama shows, often providing the much needed comic relief during heavy and heart-tugging scenes. One of her latest TV shows is in the GMA-7 tearjerker, "Mga Mata ni Anghelita".

When asked about her decision to try out working for the Kapuso network, the comedienne said that "Maayos ang pakikipag-usap ko sa mga taga-Dos bago ako tumanggap ng raket sa Siete. Meron na daw kasunod, pero ayoko munang magbigay ng detalye. Basta, ang alam ko, meron..." A testament that she is in good terms with ABS-CBN is the fact that she is part of the cast of Star Cinema's entry to the Metro Manila FIlm Festival, "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo".
She also opened up more about her personal life during the presscon for the said film. She divulged that she is in a live-in relationship with her beloved, Coy Placido (of the band Session Road). She is still happy about their set-up because she now has Coy to help her out in raising her six-year-old son from an earlier relationship.
The interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal also gave Tuesday a chance to reveal that she is a Buddhist and that she is a member of LoMo Manila - a photography club. Perhaps the most interesting discovery about Tuesday is the fact that she fronts an underground band called Top Junk and that they have regular gigs every now and then.
If you are curious as to what kind of music Tuesday and her band makes, all you gotta do is check out their song dubbed "Sa Isip Mo" here in Digijooze. More info about Top Junk could be found in the website - www.underground.ph.
